Today, I want to talk about a topic that’s super close to my heart and one that could be the GAME-CHANGER for your business. Yep, it’s getting ON camera and letting your audience see your beautiful face!

I Don’t Trust ANYONE Until I’ve Seen Their Face

Let’s start with a truth bomb: People don’t trust faceless brands. It’s just human nature. We crave connection, authenticity, and realness. So if you’re hiding behind quotes, graphics, or text-only posts… it’s time for a wake-up call! You NEED to show up as YOU.

But it’s scary right? Putting the real YOU in all your weird and wonderful glory out there into the world is SO exposing! It’s not something you’ve ever done before and to be honest, something you feel totally uncomfortable putting yourself out there. What if people don’t like it? What if they think you’re arrogant or too much? What if they think you’re a fraud?! I get it. There’s A LOT of fear… but this is something ALL successful coaches have felt (I promise!) and had to overcome.

Identify the Fear

Alright, let’s get real for a sec. What’s holding you back? Is it fear of judgment? Perfectionism? Imposter syndrome? Maybe you're telling yourself stories like I’m not photogenic or No one cares what I look like. BULLSH*T! These are just STORIES you’ve been feeding yourself.

I remember when I first started. My hands would shake every time I hit post on a selfie or video. But guess what? The world didn’t end. In fact, it got better! Clients started resonating with me on a deeper level because they could see ME—the person behind the brand.

Write a New Story

It’s time to flip the script, lovely! Instead of saying, I’m scared people won’t like me, start saying, My ideal clients LOVE seeing my face! Instead of thinking, I need to look perfect, try, Authenticity is my superpower!

Write down your NEW story, with a whole load of affirmations that feel good to you and stick them EVERYWHERE—on your mirror, your laptop, hell, even on your fridge! Reprogram your mind to believe that showing up is not only safe but essential for building trust.

Dive Deeper Into Your Niche

Now let’s dig into WHO you’re speaking to and WHY they need YOU. Who is your ideal client? What keeps her up at night? What problems can YOU solve for her?

When you know EXACTLY who you’re talking to, showing up becomes less about YOU and more about serving THEM. And this shift in focus can make all the difference.

For instance, if your ideal client is a mumpreneur struggling with work-life balance, she needs to SEE someone who gets her struggles and offers real solutions—not some faceless entity spouting generic advice.

Establish Yourself as an Authority

You’ve got expertise that people NEED. But how will they ever know if you don’t SHOW UP? Share snippets of your life—your wins AND your struggles. Teach what you know through videos, live sessions, and face-to-camera stories.

Remember: AUTHORITY isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being REAL and RELATABLE.

Be your Silly Self

The more YOU you can be, the more your perfect-fit dreamy clients are going to come into your world and want to work with you!!! (All your quirks and weird bits will be the thing they remember most about you and the things they'll fall in love with you for!!) So don't hold back.

Some of the best advice I've ever been given is to be YOU and then go BIGGER 🥳 Not only will it feel really blaaaaaady good to just be totally yourself, it is also excellent marketing and will magnetise lovely potential clients or business besties into your world!!! This will do wonders for your biz!!!

I reckon it's the bits about ourselves we think are the cringiest that are the bits we simply GOTTA show!!
Because they are what makes us totally unique! And that's the name of the game in marketing. 💃🏻

Practical Steps to Get Over the Fear

1. **Start Small**: Begin with photos before moving on to videos.

2. **Get Comfortable**: Practise in front of a mirror or record yourself privately until you feel more at ease.

3. **Engage**: Ask questions in your captions or during live sessions to create interaction.

4. **Be Consistent**: Make showing up part of your routine.

5. **Be YOU**: Don’t be afraid to show up as you. Embrace your weird bits because that’s what your people are going to love.

Take Action Beyond Social Media

Social media is fantastic but don’t limit yourself there! Host masterclasses where people can see and interact with you live. Attend networking events (yes—even virtual ones!). Speak at local meetups or conferences in your niche.

The more places people see YOUR FACE associated with valuable content and genuine interactions…the more they’ll TRUST you!

Ladies…it’s TIME TO STEP UP!!! 🚀 Your ideal clients are out there WAITING for someone JUST LIKE YOU—a coach who shows up authentically and consistently builds trust by letting her true self SHINE THROUGH!
